The taste was ok but but the texture was more like a marinara. will give it another try once i have all the ingredients so i give it a fair chance.

Great quick recipe! Unfortunately, I didn’t have liquid smoke or tomato paste. I used Worcester sauce and some more seasonings instead. I can’t imagine how great the recipe is with liquid smoke

Excellent! It was spicy and sweet and tart, but not overwhelming. Used it on pulled pork.i will make again had some whiskey glaze leftover from another recipe and put the in too. Yummy

Thought this was very good. I added half the amount of spice due to a family member's lack of spice. She still found it spicy, so will adjust again next time. Also think I will adjust some of the spices.

Really good - didn’t have liquid smoke so used smoked paprika. Also added a splash of A-1 and Worcestershire sauce.

Added more heat as recommended, and it turned out great. The spouse said better than any bbq sauce at any grocery store. Taste and add the spices that best fits your tastes and you'll end up happy.

It’s great for a starting point. Like mine’s a little more spicy. Added some more chilli and cayenne. Also brown sugar and some red rooster hot sauce. It’s delicious.

Delicious! I like my bbq sauce a bit sweeter so I added a bit of brown sugar towards the end of simmering. It came out perfect! Will make again.

fabulous.
I adjust a bit the molassas and honey and add some brown sugar.
I also didnt have any red wine vinegar when i first made it but i used red wine and white vinegar in a ratio that mad sense to me. It turned out great so i keep repeating it.
This time, my 3rd or 4th time making it, I added chipotle...also a great result.
Like many things in cooking, it's a matter of what is on hand combined with common sense and experience with ingredients.

Left out the liquid smoke (didn't have any), but added a few finely chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and added a touch more cayenne.. Served it on pork back ribs. It was the best we've ever had!
