- 3 pieces bean curd skin (腐皮, you can combine fresh and dried ones for variety)

- tau kwa
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 tsp. fermented bean paste
- 1 tsp. sugar (or to taste)
- 1 dash white pepper
- 200 mL water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch (solution)
