I used my homemade golden syrup instead of molasses as I did not have enough. I substituted nutmeg and pumpkin pie spice for the ground cloves. It came out perfectly! will definitely make again!

Delish! Perfect recipe and the icing really makes the loaf exceptional! My preference would probably be just a little under the 1/4 cup of molasses.

The ginger bread tasted amazing. The amt of spice is just right and it came out super moist! One thing to note...put something under it while cooking as it can run over. I didn't ice as we aren't icing people. Would give five stars but can't tap the 5th star in app.

It was delicious; hardly a crumb left! Everyone loved the spicy flavor. I used the glaze idea, but it would be good at Halloween with plenty of fresh whipped cream!
