- 1 cup flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. McCormick Cream of Tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract (McCormick® All Natural)
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract (McCormick® All Natural)
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon (McCormick®)

Directions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in small bowl. In separate bowl, mix egg, milk, butter and vanilla. Add to flour mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be thick and slightly lumpy). Let stand 5 minutes while heating pan.
- Spray large flat griddle or skillet with no stick spray. Heat on medium-low heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto hot griddle. Cook 2 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- For the Cinnamon Syrup, mix all ingredients in small bowl. Heat before serving, if desired. Serve drizzled over Pancakes.

Wow. Always at least peek at the reviews before trying a recipe. These were the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. I’m surprised it came from a spice co. and even passed their test kitchen. I followed the directions and measurements, but could immediately tell something was quite different from the batter. It was so thick (but yes, fluffy) that there was no way to “pour” it onto the griddle. It was more like a fluffy cookie dough. I arranged 4 dollops onto the pan anyway to see how they’d turn out. They were way to dry and had probably twice the amount of salt! 😝 They’re going in the trash. This recipe doesn’t belong on Yummly. It belongs on Yuckly!
