- 1/2 tsp. table salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- onions
- pierogi
- 1 cup mashed potatoes (warm, you can use warmed up leftovers or make the mashed potatoes while the pierogi dough rests)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 yellow onion (large sweet, sliced, you don't want the onion pieces to be chopped up too small or in too large of hunks, you'll want them to look sort of like petals)

They were great but I only got 17 (rolling to 1/8 inch and 4” circle). Dough was awesome. Had no cheddar so used mozzarella - I’m sure cheddar would have been better.

excellent and easy. didnt use onions. our traditional way was to boil until float and then deep fry till golden brown and cover with shredded cheese . my pivky teens loved them
