I made this sauce for my dad for Christmas, and it was simply stunning. I can't wait to see his reaction when he opens it!

This is a very good sauce. I’m not a fan of molasses, so I left it out. Ether way with or without molasses it’s good.

It was great!
Tweaked it a little.
I didn’t have chipotle powder so I added a half teaspoon each of ancho chile powder and hot smoked paprika.
I also added a teaspoon of hickory flavoring.
My husband has decided no more store bought!

Yes. Yes. Yes. As written this recipe is delish. It also leaves wiggle room to customize. I made as written the first time, and I could eat it with a spoon, it's that good. This will be my go to base bbq sauce recipe from now on

I had some tomato sauce going out of date so I quadruple the recipe. Canning 11 1/2 pint jars Nd making pulled chicken out of 12th jar. Very flavorful, thanks for sharing.
