My daughter made this cake. It came out really good. I did make some changes, I did not add 1 cup water, only 1/4 cup and I thought the boiling water will dilute the batter too much. I also made it in two pans so the cake would have 2 layers. In the middle I put jam and strawberries. You can substitute jam with whip cream or frosting. The jam made the cake even more moist.

Needed a yummy, easy cake for our family of 7 during the quarantine for our sweet baby's 2nd birthday. I substituted coconut oil & used a bear shaped cake pan instead (why are there NO shark cake pans!?) Super easy. waiting to see how it turns out! Smells amazing!

It was alright. Like a normal chocolate cake. Using Hersheys didn’t really make a difference. I made it exactly the same way.

Delicious cake! Very easy to make and it turned out great! I don't usually make cakes from scratch, but I had all the ingredients and everyone loved it! I will definitely be making this one again!!

Have been making it for years and my mom also made it and sometimes she used mayo and it is delicious both ways!

A lovely, moist, and rich chocolate cake. I have made this more than once and it has always turned out well. Would definitely make again!
