- 2 1/4 lb. venison (ground)
- 3/4 lb. pork sausage
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 onions (large, chopped)
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 jalapeño (large, diced, remove inner ribs and remove all seeds if you don't like it too hot)
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. cumin
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. thyme
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 24 oz. low sodium beef broth
- 14.5 oz. low sodium chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. sauce (from Chipotles chilies in Adobo Sauce., we make our own, check out the recipe)
- 15 oz. tomato sauce (1 can)
- 10 oz. tomatoes (1 can, Ro-Tel, if you don't like spicy, add 14 oz. can of diced tomatoes)
- 2 cans pinto beans (14 oz. drained)
- pasta (Your choice of, cooked according to directions)
- sour cream (optional)
- shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups corn (optional frozen)
