Good! Family ate all! I added cheese. I will make again, but it was a little bland. I added Worcestershire and soy sauce and that made it better.

This looked like a great cold weather soup, however it was bland. Also I pre cooked my vegetables in olive oil. I added garlic, bay leaf, white pepper, cayenne pepper for more flavor. I also substituted one cup milk for one cup beef consommé or broth for more flavor.

Pros: Nice texture, looks tasty
Cons: Took almost 2 hours of cooking at low heat for the veggies to be soft worhout scalding anything.
flavor is bland. added 2 cloves crushed garlic, replaced 1 cup tomato juice with 15oz hunts tomato sauce, made a small roux and added some cheese, used 3 cups milk

Made a few changes it was bland to begin I added garlic powder, extra salt and pepper, paprika, and bacon. Only did 3 cups of milk which made it much thicker. Really liked the outcome

This was pretty good. My finished product looked like the picture. I'm on the fence on whether or not I would make again. Something about the combination of the flavors not quite gelling. I think there is a better recipe out there for something like this.

took forever for the carrots to cook. i would use 1 c. less milk next time. and maybe canned carrots. very liquidy soup. not like the pic
