I liked how this recipe substituted olive oil for butter, which was my main criteria. However, it was a little too bready for my taste - if I make this again I’ll probably double the sweetener to make it taste a little less like the flour. Overall not a bad recipe, but nothing to write home about.

Didn’t have whole wheat flour so I used pastry flour. It still turned out great 👌🏾👌🏾

I kind of liked the waffles. But it is very basic, I could not pinpoint what I wanted to add to it. I followed the recipe exactly as it is written. Next time I may need to experiment with adding different spices like cinnamon, or cloves, or cardamom.
