Excellent! My family loves it. I substituted chicken stock instead of beef stock and ground turkey. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly.

We love it!! I make it quite often, sometimes I’ll make it with turkey instead of hamburger.

I did different vegetables, and added barley, no tomato soup, one can of tomatoes. It tasted great.

Turned out very well. Used a little less water so somewhere between a soup and a stew. Great flavour.

I made this with some changes. Here they are:
2lbs of ground beef instead of 1lb.
2 cans of diced tomatoes and 1 can of tomato sauce
3/4 cup Merlot wine
4 1/2 cups of Beef Broth instead of 3 1/2.
2 1/2 teaspoons of Italian Herbs
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 cans diced potatoes
2 cans cut green beans
1 can peas
1 can carrots
It made a huge pot of soup. My kid's age 24, 20, and 17, just absolutely couldn't get enough.
It turned out amazing. The soup broth was just phenomenal. I would really encourage you to make this and you can add whatever veggie you want in this soup. Just want to say thanks to Spend with Pennies for putting this recipe out here on Yummly.

Turned out great. 1st time around I followed recipe as written. 2nd time around, I made the following modifications..I used ground turkey instead of ground beef, used ditalini pasta instead of potatoes, used chicken broth instead of beef broth and used 1-2 Tablespoons of better than bouillon for the salt and it turned out even better. I probably added another 1/2 lbs. of ground turkey because I like it a little more meaty.

I used tomato sauce instead of the soup, and this will be on the repeat list for sure. Will see how well it freezes.
