Very good! I have 2 picky eatery. So half the family loves it and the other half is just so so. That's why the 4 stars. If it was just my 2 cent's, it'd be 5. I added a sprinkle of parmesan,a good pinch shredded mozzarella, and a hint of paprika in the middle. Yes, very good and a make again soup!

Just perfect spleat peas soup! Tastes as traditional Ukrainian one, though I've never tried to add celery to it and I really liked this addition.

Easy and delishious. Great for a springtime Sunday dinner to use up your Easter hambone. Pair with some freshly baked bread and your house will smell wonderful.

I used yellow and this was delicious!! I didn’t have ham but used chopped pork chops to make stock with chicken bullion.

Split Pea Soup, my Mom used to make this for me whenever I had the blues. This recipe came very close to Mom's perfection.

Great taste. Easy to make as I had already boiled the hambone and ham scraps, discarded non-edibles, and refrigerated the stock. We really enjoyed it.

Very flavor full. I never used hambone but I think because we baste the ham with orange juice and put whole cloves on while cooking .. it gives soup some wonderful flavor. I mashed (potato masher) the peas in the soup after it cooked for a while so the texture wasn’t so chunky. To a t to the recipe made several times. Is a house favorite.
