It seemed hard to start, but, no just throw everything in the pot I didn’t have 8 hours in a slow cooker, but I had two on the stove.in any case my very particular child really enjoyed it that’s 5 stars for me

I don't know why mine was not delicious...I followed the recipe exactly. The stew was thin and bland and now I also know that I don't like parsnips. Would not make again. I would just make Beef Bourguignon instead the next time I'm in the mood for some beef stew.
