- 1 onions (medium, diced)
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. taco seasoning (Kalyn's, or use your favorite purchased taco seasoning blend)
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey ((If your store only has 1 lb. packages that will work too, but you need to slightly reduce the amount of seasonings. I would still use the full can of tomatoes but only 1 can diced green chiles.))
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder (or granulated garlic, not garlic salt)
- 8 oz. diced green chilies (with juice)
- 4 oz. green chile
- 14.5 oz. tomatoes with juice (petite diced)
- 1/4 cup lime juice (fresh squeezed, or more if you like a lot of lime flavor; I used my frozen lime juice.)
- salt (to taste)
- 7 flour tortillas (6-8 small, fajita size)
- Tabasco Pepper Sauce (Green, for serving, optional but good)
- 2 avocados (diced (Replace avocado with 1 can – 15 oz – black beans, rinsed and drained well for the original version of this recipe.))
- 1/4 red onion (large, diced small)
- 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro (or more finely diced)
- 3 Tbsp. lime juice (fresh squeezed)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil

This was essy to prepare and absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be making this again. I will probably add an extra avocado to the salsa next time just because we love avocado.
