I have to admit that I had a masala on hand with most of the spices called for and then just added the ones that were in the recipe but weren't in my masala. I thought this came out great, not too spicy and my son actually ate it! Will definitely be on a regular rotation in our house! Oh and I swapped out chickpeas for the lentils which was just a matter of preference. We prefer the heartier texture.
