- 1/2 cup fennel (chopped)
- 1 shallot (minced)
- 1 chile (small hot, like a Thai or Tabasco, sliced in half lengthwise)
- 1 shot ouzo (glass of, or other anise-flavored liqueur)
- 1 cup goose (duck or chicken broth)
- 1 Orange (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 bunch fennel fronds (for garnish, optional)
