- canola oil
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 green onions (whites, sliced)

- 2 Tbsp. sake (or cooking wine to deglaze)
- 1 1/2 cups stock (of choice, just enough to barely cover the meat)
- 2 Tbsp. gochujang (make sure to check the label since most versions have wheat)
- 1 Tbsp. tamari (gf)
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. rice vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
