- 1 lb. stir fry beef (or boneless round steak, cut into thin 3-inch strips)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped, or thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup carrots (thinly sliced, or you could use red pepper)
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional, adds some nice heat)
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp. toasted sesame seeds

Loosely based on this recipe (much less cornstarch)
Made this with yellow peppers, yellow onion & broccoli. 1st cut the beef into strips then marinated in 3T soya, 2t cornstarch, 1T sugar.
Sauce to put over at the end:: 1tsp ginger, 1tsp garlic, 1/4C soya sauce, 2T rice vinegar, 2tsp light brown sugar & 3tsp cornstarch (mixed in a bowl)
1st heated 1T sesame oil, added thin strips beef, removed from heat, added more oil then fried pepper 2min, then broccoli 2 more min, removed all then added onions, cooked for 3min then added everything back in and sauce over it - cooked 2 more min. Delish!!

It turned out wonderful. Had a great flavor . Definitely would make it again
. Cooked my meat in the slow cooker so it would be tender . Other than that . Spot on

Came out perfect! Would make it again. Didn't have enough soya sauce but it turned out just fine.Yum!
