- 1/2 cup oat flour (I make my own by measuring out 1 cup of old-fashioned oats and putting them in a blender. I then blend them on high until it's like a fine powder.)
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. canela
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. bourbon vanilla extract
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter (preferably pastured, can sub coconut oil, if desired)
- 2 Granny Smith apples (peeled and sliced)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. salt
