it was delicious. however i did 4 EXTREMELY over ripe bananas, almost completely dark brown, and didn’t have any unsweetened applesauce (which wouldn’t have changed the sweetness anyways) and it had absolutely no sweetness whatsoever. i was hesitant and found it odd there was no sugar. however i made the mistake of trusting the recipe anyways and excluded the sugar figuring the bananas sweetened it enough that it wasn’t needed. extremely disappointed there. i’m going to be drizzling honey over mine, easy fix. the texture is kinda in the middle of dense and fluffy and i baked mine into a square pan to make bars instead of a loaf. would def make this again but adding sugar/honey into the batter next time.

Bland flavor, gummy texture. Tried it as a loaf and as muffins - same result. Added 1/8 tsp salt to see if it made a difference and... nope. Used the loaf and muffins for compost.

Great recipe, my family didn't even miss the gluten! I did add 1/4 cup of sugar and replaced the butter with canola oil. It was very moist and didn't feel like I was getting a substitute.

Flavour is good, but I don't love the consistency once it is baked. Too soft still, so almost seems under-baked.

The bread is quite moist, but even with a dash of added sugar, it’s just not sweet enough for my taste. I am trying to cut down on sugar intake, so I know this is a good thing. It will also keep me from over-indulging. Besides sugar (and nuts, of course), I can’t quite put my finger on what else this lacks. Oh who am I kidding? It’s the gluten. Lol!!! Overall, not a bad recipe.

I love this recipe! It does not contain extra sugar but is sweetened simply by the bananas and cinnamon. It came out perfect! I added xanthan gum and used organic cinnamon apple sauce. I’ve never made banana bread so fast.
