- 2 1/4 lb. sirloin steak (or sizzlers cut in thin strips)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 4 bell peppers (miniature, seeded and sliced in rings)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups carrots (matchsticks, or sliced carrots)
- 1/2 cup low sodium gluten free soy sauce (I use Tamari-lite by San-J)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 cup avocado oil (plus more for frying beef)
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (loosely packed)
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 cup cornstarch (or as needed)
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds (plus more for sprinkling over the top)
- cooked rice (or wild rice blend to serve with)
