Description
A zest of ginger to your regular fried rice
Ingredients

- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers (finely, red, green and yellow)
- 1/2 cup cabbage (thinly chopped)
- 1 tsp. black pepper (you can add more or less depending on your love for spice)
- salt (to taste)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (flavored, Amul's Garlic and herbs butter gives a real nice distinct aroma to the rice)
- 2 tsp. ginger (grated)

Directions
- To ensure your rice is not sticky, soak your rice for 20 minutes before you start cooking and also use the stove instead of rice cookers enabling you to get rid of the starch.
- When the rice is done shift them to greased large plates and let them cool.
- Meanwhile in a wok melt your butter and lightly saute the veggies and the grated ginger making sure not to cook them entirely. Crunchy pieces of peppers give a nice taste to the rice.
- Lastly add salt, pepper and rice, mix well and the dish is ready to serve.
- Serving Ideas Sweet and spicy mixed veg, sweet and sour chicken and raita would be great sides to serve with this rice.
