  • 2 inches ginger (peeled and cut into thin strips)
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soy beans (fermented, taucheo)
  • 4 pieces black fungus (dried, pre-softened in warm water for 30 minutes, then cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 red onion (small, quartered)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 stalk scallion (cut into 1 inch length)

    Very tasty! I couldn't find the fermented soya beans nor the sweet soya sauce and I used udon noodles instead of rice. But It was a really nice dinner, black fungus have amazing flavour and texture.
