Delicious! Next time I’ll try frying the beef ahead of time and then bake it a bit to warm it and crisp it just before I toss it with the sauce and we eat

It was very tasty but the batter did not stick to the beef at all. Hubby loved it anyway

I have to say that I was fairly disappointed in this recipe. The batter didn't adhere to the meat at all. So after all the extra time and mess of a batter, the beef was, well, beef...fried in hot bubbling oil. Perhaps if there was half the amount of water. Dredging the pieces of beef in cornstarch first might help as well.
The sauce was tasty, but slightly on the salty side. Next time I will use 2/3's the soy sauce and will substitute with water or beef stock.
