- 150 grams self raising flour
- 40 grams butter (unsalted butter or salted, if preferred.)
- 5 grams baking powder (that’s about half a tablespoon.)
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- white sugar
- 2 egg yolk
- almond extract (for flavour.)
- 4 Tbsp. yoghurt (plain, optional)
- 3 Tbsp. milk (or cream, optional)
- 100 grams poppy seeds (. Use the food processor to ground the poppy seeds or you can use the mortar and pestle.)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cream of wheat
- 3 drops vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. icing sugar (or less)
- 2 egg whites (beat the eggs.)
- 2 Tbsp. raisins (walnuts or currants, optional.)
- 2 apples (peel and grate the apples, optional.)
- rum (very optional.)
