Really good. I added 1/4 cup of melted butter because I'm extra like that, but it did give it a little somethin

Had to add 1/3 cup more milk to get the correct texture I also added 2 tbs coco in the mix to make them chocolate but if I didn’t know what I was doing this recipe would of failed because there isn’t enough milk in the instructions

Was not too bad. I admit to tossing a bit of extra in there in the form of a bit of pancake mix as it is a bit sweeter. It was not much as it wouldn't be the correct consistency. I see many comment about people not getting that carnival or amusement park funnel cake and it not being the same recipe. Well, your right to some extent. Those places (and I know because my father once worked for a company that sold carnival things like funnel cake batter, the actual fryers, cotton candy machines, etc. I ate so much of that one summer as a kid I thought I died and went to heaven, ha ha!) Commercial foods and the items they have access to are not the same and are typically much worse for you, especially now days. The same approach they have there isn't what we have around in our daily lives because items and recipes, even the unhealthy things are typically better than commercial manufactures have or create. Carnival food is not meant to be healthy. Also the type of fryers used and the oil used (peanut oil is still a favorite due to the taste and its higher smoke point-that is why it is used in woks a lot. The fryers get hotter and stay a more consistent over time. You just can not get a stove to do that. You'd be surprised what difference a commercial deep fryer can make. If you really want the exact carnival taste...go to the carnival. A recipe like this will give you a bit of the taste and a bit of nostalgia but not duplication.

It was alright. On its own the funnel cakes don’t taste like much. I think I was expecting more. I ended up mixing powdered sugar with some milk and drizzling that over the cakes and it tasted better. I don’t know if I’ll be making it again. I think I’d rather make some donuts at that point.

Pretty good base recipe. Need to add more sugar and vanilla extract but overall good base. A lot of ppl are trying to obtain the actual consistency and fluffiness as a carnival funnel cake but it’s not going to be the same. The majority of those, clearly, have a different recipe. We all know they’re usually thicker but light at the same time. Please stop bashing someone because you tried their recipe, BECAUSE YOU NEEDED TO FIND ONE YOURSELF, but didn’t like it. If you can do better, please post your recipe and we’ll all try it.

It was great! My kids loved them 👏🏼 drizzled some Nutella on top with the powered sugar. It was awesome

Love this easy recipe! I’ve made it twice now, once without the vanilla and once with. Both are good but the vanilla does help. I used a ziplock bag with a corner cut off to drizzle the batter into the pan. Also, if you are only wanting to make a few, I would suggest cutting the recipe in half which for me makes 3 decent sized funnel cakes.

Wonderful! I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract and about 1/4 cup more milk to thin the batter so I could use a condiment squeeze bottle. Turned out perfect, just like at the fair.

This recipe was very easy and tasty I added vanilla and thinking about trying almond extract next time I nursed this recipe for a fundraiser for our church Pathfinder Club to go to Oshkosh and everyone loved them and kept saying how delicious they were! Thank you for sharing!

i tried it put but it didn't turn out right at all. maybe its cuz i dirnt use the right oil or heat but it dient have the same taste as the usual ones. Terrible tasting to me

Not quite the right consistency for a funnel cake.. missed a lot of the flavor and chewiness of what a funnel cake normally has. But if your looking for a lighter tasting version this is it.
