- 2 Tbsp. coconut flour (use the "dip and sweep method" to measure. I recommend this coconut flour)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (substitute carob powder, available here, for chocolate allergies)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 3 eggs (at room temperature, egg substitutes will not work)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (available here)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (dairy free, available here, optional)

My family likes these a lot, I would make adjustments to the preparation of them though. Sift the coconut flour a few times to get the lumps out, as well as the cocoa powder then mix them into the wet ingredients. I forgot last time and I ended up with coconut flour lumps throughout. I also prefer to make these in a mini muffin pan, I feel they get done throughout more evenly. Adjust the time to about 20-25 mins. I do not like coconut that well, and these don't have an overwhelming coconut flavor. You could easily add in any nut butter too to hide the coconut flavor if you prefer.

Not a bad replacement for regular brownies. If you are gluten intolerant, it's a fine replacement. My husband did not enjoy due to the difference in texture. I'd make them again for myself.
