Turned out great, added marshmallows and I soaked the bananas in the pineapple juice, while I mixed everything together, keep banana from going brown. Next time I’ll double the fruit but not the cool whip, sour cream or condensed milk.

Way too sweet. I will adjust with fresh fruit and make my own whip cream. Any ideas on how to make this healthier?

i decided to add fresh strawberries to the dish instead of bananas. i also only used half of the sour cream that was called for. it turned out very good

Very strong sour cream taste. We just weren’t a fan of it. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great.

Good salad. Not better than s*x, people need to stop saying this for everything that's nice. Like seriously. Either that or you're having some bad s*x if a fruit salad is somehow better...
Also lol how I can't write s*x in the comments but it's full blown out in the tittle.

I made it and all the people at my dinner loved it and wanted the recipe! I am now making it again for Easter.

There were a lot of good reviews on this, so I decided to try it for a luncheon. I was not Impressed with it. For all the ingredients in it, I didn’t think it was all that good of a combination. I really thought twice about adding the sliced bananas to it, but there were no negative comments about them so I went ahead and put them in. By the end of the first full day, the bananas had turned brown and mushy, Yecht!! It didn’t go over all that well at my luncheon. I probably will not make this again.

Will make this again. Very easy and yummy. I was hesitant because of the sour cream. Not a deterrent at all!

It was excellent. I made 1 change by using homemade whipped cream that I lightly sweetened. It broke down a little after sitting, but this is a delicious and fun dish for young and old...I'm truly a fan of all salads and cooking from the 50's and 60's and this salad reminds me of one!
