  • 4 Roma tomatoes (known in Mexico as jitomate Saladet)
  • 5 serrano chiles
  • 1/2 white onion (a large, sliced)
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • 1 cup Mexican beer
  • 2 sprigs cilantro
  • salt (to taste)
