Have been making this for years
Very tasty
Left out brown sugar and added a teaspoon or so of crushed garlic and red pepper

Simple and a big hit! I followed the directions as is. My husband was the only one who wouldn’t try it. Too bad but more for the rest of us.

Simple and delicious! Tweaked the amounts of seasonings and brown sugar a bit to my desired taste. Will definitely make again!

delicious ! cooked 4 slices of bacon. then added smoked sausge for a little more hearty-ness. removed those added the onion and some garlic. sauted then added the spices recommended . then 2 tbsp of butter and the cabbage. once that was done i added the meat back in. very good! i would double it next time.

Added some chopped garlic, diced mushrooms and used ground pork instead of bacon, skip the sugar as it's unnecessary. And a half a cup of a chopped curly parsley Very tasty dish.

used a little bit of hickory salt since I didn't have smoked paprika. Turned out great.

This was a bit bland before I added the optional brown sugar. I also added about a teaspoon of red wine vinegar to balance the sweetness.

I added mushrooms with it and it was amazing! I will make this recipe again.
