Description
Celebrate the arrival of summer, the dawn of beach season, and warmer weather with this recipe for Fresh Lemon Verbena and Mint Tea. Beforehand, giving yourself plenty of time for the ice cubes to freeze, prepare lime peel infused ice cubes by placing a piece of lime peel in each ice cube tray before covering with water and freezing. Allow the lemon verbena and mint leaves to infuse in the boiling water for at least 4 minutes before adding the cold water. Full of refreshing flavor, you can sweeten this tea with your favorite sweetener to your own preference.
Ingredients
- 300 mL boiling water
- 1 liter water (fresh)
- 10 leaves fresh mint
- 2 Tbsp. lemon verbena (leaves)
- 15 ice cubes (with lime)
Directions
- Boil 300 milliliters of water, remove from heat, add the tea leaves and mint, and let stand for about 4 minutes.
- After that time, add 1 liter of cold water to the hot water in a large pot, and allow the tea to soak in for a few more minutes.
- Optionally, add a couple of tablespoons of sugar.
- Before serving, drain the tea leaves and add the ice cubes with lime (previously prepared iced cubes with cut lime).
