I made this cake for a group of friends last night. Everyone raved about it! It is a simple recipe to follow and results in a delicious light cake. I added homemade whipped cream which I highly recommend. It took a few minutes longer to bake which others have noted. This is definitely a keeper!

I thought this was a really nice recipe- loved the tips- the cake was great! I didn’t use the round pan I used rectangle shaped tart pan. It was really pretty

Very good. My husband wants a French Strawberry cake that he had growing up so I have been trying g to find a recipe that is close. He likes this but it isn’t the one he is craving.

Easy to make and Great taste - however as previously mentioned the time for baking is definitely more than 35-40 minutes. While it was a beautiful golden brown with crispy edges only about 2 inches toward center was cake like - way too runny. So back in the oven it goes!

It was super moist, sweet + very berry! Nice crispy top! Have made it twice.

I baked this for the first time yesterday for Easter/Resurrection Day as a dessert for my mom's meal. I was short on vanilla extract and sour cream, but I made it work. Lol - We both loved it. My mom said it has an old-fashioned taste (like something my grandmother would have made).

Delicious!! Soft and moist. Easy to make. I baked it for 42 minutes in a 9 inch non-stick pan greased with butter.

The French Strawberry Cake was a hit in our house! Easy no fuss recipe. Following the comments, I watched the bake time and my gas oven had it perfect at 40 minutes. We served it for an anniversary dinner and the hard to please baker and foodie really enjoyed it! I added whipping cream (with vanilla to keep to the French theme, of course!) which brought it to another level. Really enjoyed how easy and delicious and beautiful this cake was. I will definitely make it again! Merci!

I made this for my husbands birthday and we all loved this dessert. It wasn’t to sweet but so moist and a little bit like custard in the very center. We topped it with extra berries and cool whip. Absolutely delicious! I will definitely make this again.

Turned out great. Easy and true to French cake that you would get in france.

Easy. It looks really good I must admit. I made it for myself, for Mother’s Day. Only baked 35 minutes, & I used raw sugar on top instead of the granulated sugar.

This turned out perfect. I had to bake it for 45 minutes before the toothpick came out clean. So good that family ate all of it and I am now making another one!

The cake is veryyyy deliciouss!! My only problem was the oven heating, it says on the website 350 degrees, I baked mine at 180 degrees. I think it has to do with different oven sytems or smtg.. anw, just thought I'd mention it. Other than that the cake is very delicious.. would definitely recommend!

I loved the French Strawberry Cake! I only made one substitution - I used cake flour instead of all purpose flour. I had to bake it about 10-15 minutes longer in my oven to brown and not be gooey in the center. The flavor was good and it looks just like the picture.
