- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 6 Tbsp. whole milk (or half-and-half, divided)

Directions
- BEAT shortening, vanilla and salt in large bowl with mixer on high speed until fluffy.
- ADD powdered sugar. Beat on low speed, gradually adding 1/4 cup half-and-half, until blended.
- BEAT with stand mixer on medium speed 3 minutes or with hand mixer on high speed 5 minutes, until light and fluffy. If icing seems too stiff, gradually beat in additional half-and-half, 1 tablespoon at a time, until icing reaches desired consistency.

I love how the icing turned out it’s so smooth on my sugar cookies. I will definitely use this recipe again.
