    I read Tracey's and I have to say, I agree. The ingredients don't support the end result. I think there is water for the flax seed to soak in that's missing. BUT I adjusted the recipe and got a really good result!! First, the beets - I really got them into mush. As in, grated on my food processor and then I put the blade in and got them to a mush. THAT has some really good wetness that makes the flax work better. Then, I cut back the choc batter to a little more than a cup and added a dark chocolate bar. The kind that's around 80% chocolate, very low sugar. I melted that with the coconut oil. And btw, yeah, melt there coconut oil. Regarding the beets - one cup (in there finished form) is fine. These are pretty good!! I add a frosting which is a great deal - cashews soaked overnight in water, then blended with maple syrup and enough water to get the right consistency.
