- 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup half n half
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. butter extract
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract (Can add more if you really like rum flavor. I'm not a huge fan)
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. butter extract
- 1/2 tsp. rum extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
- 1/2 tsp. coconut extract
- 1/2 tsp. milk (may need more)

ive baked this cake several times....and it is delicious. I do however use half and half only and leave out the buttermilk. You can also use heavy whipping cream.
