This is my old "go-to" fudge recipe for the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 3 packages semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 oz. pkgs.)
  • 1 jar marshmallow cream (7 oz.)
  • 3 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt

    Directions

    1. Stir together margarine, sugar and milk in a heavy saucepan; bring to a full boil, stirring constantly.
    2. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat, or until candy thermometer reaches 234 ° F., stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
    3. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in chocolate until melted.
