Great experience first time making hummus. I didn’t add salt throughout. I followed the tahini recipe and used dried chickpeas. They ended up soaking for 13ish hours, so they didn’t take long to cook, following the visual directions. I am interested in trying different amounts of tahini and adding different spices. It’s great to know the foundation is solid, and I really appreciate how thoroughly explained this recipe is. I am curious about the bright color in the photo and how I can achieve that, maybe going the canned route.

OMG. This is the absolute BEST recipe for hummus. Easy to customize for what you may want to add to it. It makes a lot too, which is a huge plus in my household. Absolutely delicious, a must try recipe for anyone who likes hummus.

It was delicious, I microwaved the chickpeas with whole garlic cloves for 10 minutes before I separated the liquid. It makes the hummus extra creamy.

The taste of tahini was a bit too strong, but apart from that, I think it turned out quite ok :)

Less tahini and more lemon juice made it tastier. I subbed in a can of Great Northern beans for one can of garbanzo beans and also some water for some of the olive oil.

Sooo good. Used it with another dish: roasted veggies and hummus wraps. My friends loved it. Really simple and tasty!
