I've made an authentic Mexican enchilada sauce for years that was similar to this but did not have tomato sauce in the recipe. The tomato sauce adds a different dimension to the enchiladas. Very good recipe !

I absolutely loved the simplicity of this recipe. I added a bit more of the seasonings (especially garlic and cumin) as well as ground poblano (instead of chili), and smoked paprika and it came out fantastic!

Excellent enchilada sauce recipe!
And so easy! I will never buy canned enchilada sauce again.

I made this today and it’s the best sauce I’ve ever tried. I added 1tabledppon of cayenne and it added a flare 100!!

Very easy to make. Way better than store bought. I used onion powder, not salt, and a tablespoon of Tajin to it also. I made some yesterday and kind of ran out for my recipe today,so I whipped up another batch. This literally takes under 10 minutes to get together and 10 minutes to cook down. Get all your ingredients out before you start and it’s a breeze. I will freeze what I have leftover.

This sauce is really good! The whole family loved it. It makes a lot of sauce too which is good for my big family

This turned out great, better than I expected. I was expecting a to a rich sauce but this was not overpowering. I had extra leftover and my toddler was requesting more sauce. I have so much sauce leftover that I can turn it into something else now.

Sauce was easy to make and very tasty. I added cayenne pepper for a little kick.

I followed the recipe and my sauce was so salty. I had to dilute it with more tomatoe sauce and water 😓
