- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened, plus additional for buttering pan)
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour (sifted, not self-rising; sift before measuring plus additional for dusting, I used 1 cup all purpose flour + 2 tablespoon cornstarch to make 1 cup of cake flour, in a measuring cup add 2 tablespoon of cornstarch first and then add all purpose flour. And sift the flour 5 times)
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs (and 1/2, at room temperature 30 minutes)
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
