Hi C 6 years ago
Really nice recipe; definitely tastes great! I used fresh berries and made it twice using the same berries and then re-used them again for tea (didn't even need to add honey to the tea as the berries had kept some of the sweetness). I didn't add ginger (as I didn't have it) but loved the cinnamon. I didn't fully follow the instruction (sort of roughly estimated - honey isn't the easiest to measure) and turned out great! I'd say take it off the heat before it's at a "syrup consistency" as it will cool and become thicker. If it's too thick, just add a small bit of boiling water until it's the right consistency. I'm hoping this will be perfect for fighting off colds as I'd made elderberry tea which seemed to help considerably!
