Great! I tweaked the recipe, following someone else's comment that these were too salty, to use Kosher salt, and used 1/4 c. cilantro leaves in addition to the parsley. They got rave reviews! (We tried them with an avocado salsa, and with Vietnamese chili-garlic paste...These were delicious no matter how they were dressed up!)

This recipe was decent. I love the combination of flavors from the cumin and nutmeg. Definitely too salty, would reduce the amount of salt used next time to at least 3/4 tbsp. I had quite a bit of liquid in my pan after removing the cover, so I removed my koftas as they would have overcooked had I left them in the pan until the liquid evaporated. I did not do the charcoal step. I had this with tabbouleh.

Absolutely loved this dish, used pork instead and it was divine, did not use the brown sugar, found it too sweet when I cooked it the first time
