Okay, I’m no good at making a recipe as-is; this recipe was no different. First off I used chicken base instead of the broth (chicken base is like bouillon, but it’s a paste) and water. No onions, but freeze dried chives added to the boiling base/water. I used three eggs, and added some broken, cooked rice noodles. With the base, salt isn’t really needed. Lastly I added cooked chopped chicken. These changes made it more of an entree, less of an appetizer. It was AMAZING! I will definitely make it again.

Am I… missing something? I tried this recipe because of all the amazing reviews and because I love egg drop soup, but this recipe was really watery and just not tasty. I’ve read over the recipe several times just to try and figure out if I am missing something, but I made it as the recipe said. Kinda confused…

Since I can’t eat onions, I substituted a leaf of joy Choy to the recipe. Oh, I also cut ginger in half. It was delicious!

It was delicious and so easy to make. A little salty with the soy sauce so might half that for this particular recipe.

I loved it! I didn’t think two eggs would be enough, but I was wrong! The siracha was a great add.

So easy and so delicious!! I made this for my sick partner, and will now always have the ingredients on hand. i used better than bouillon chicken, and chopped fresh ginger. so good! i also tried it again with tofu instead of egg (since i can’t eat eggs) & it was very good as well!

Super easy to make, I added butter to make it more keto friendly. Quite salty without me adding any so might try lower sodium broth next time.
Hard to find a soup not loaded with carbs, so this fits the bill.

Easy and delicious! I didn't have green onions on hand so I used a pinch of onion powder. Definitely going to be a staple for a light meal or to ease a sore throat.

Great! I used fresh ginger to boil in the chicken broth before adding everything else.
