A very good base for fried rice. I use a precooked mix of red and brown rice and 1 T rinsed fermented black bean added at the end. When vidalia onions are available I start with those, sliced, then the garlic. When using chicken I marinade 8 oz. of it with 1 T of Tamari, 1 t toasted sesame oil and 1 small bird chile. Rinsed and drained straw mushrooms are a nice addition too.
