- 1 prime rib roast (trimmed and tied, 5 1/2-6 1/2 lb.)
- salt
- black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter (softened)
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Directions
- Season the prime rib liberally on all sides with salt and black pepper.
- Line a roasting pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil and position a roasting rack inside of it.
- Transfer the prime rib fat side up to the middle of the roasting rack. Tent the prime rib loosely with foil, and allow it to stand at room temperature for 1-2 hours.

I followed the instructions and I don’t know how that person likes their meat cause it was too well done for me and I cut the cooking time down. I will make it again but this time When I turn the oven to 325 I’ll check my meat in 20min, and go from there
