This turned out very good, and it's so easy! I followed the directions as instructed, but put the bacon on the side as well as oyster crackers on the side after the chowder was ready to serve. I did add a few extra spices besides the thyme. 1/4 Tsp each of cayenne pepper, black pepper, and garlic powder.
