I tried this with extra seasoning since it just didn't seem to be enough spices for three pounds of beef. Mine came out bland and dry.

Nice flavor. Combined with rotel and black beans and ate nacho style with some chipolte gouda.

Turned out as instructed, Don’t be concerned surplus liquids left over as doesn’t all get absorbed 👍
We really liked it. We didn’t add enough lime at the end, will kick it up a notch next time. Used the meat for tacos and everyone (even my picky kids) ate it up!

Bland and dry. Had to spruce it up!! Not bad for beginners.

Awful! Did not taste like anything but flat soda. Horrible dinner!

Bland, tasted more sweet. Tried adding salt after it was shredded. Weird tasting, nothing Mexican in it

It was very bland, but it was super easy. I thought it seemed to easy and sure enough there was no real flavor other than beef. I will not be making this again

I made this awhile back, making it again tonight. I used a deer roast both times. I tenderize the roast ,in a Hefty plastic bag, over nite. The next day I shake salt, garlic powder & chili powder all over the roast & let it set over night in same bag. The next day poured a Sprite in to the bag and let it set overnight. The next day cook it in crockpot. When done shredded the roast & pour the lime juice over it. Delicious ‼️ Served it with Pinto beans & Cilantro rice.

Not bad but you need some salsa verde after for it as it can be quite dry

It’s okay. Using the meat for sandwiches, saucing it heavily for flavour. Acts as a vessel for sauce basically.

For UK - I recommend Sprite as the lemon lime soda (full fat) as it works better and has a stronger flavour than 7up and actually adding 1.5x to double the amount of salt. Also really needed the lime juice at the end to give it the kick of citrus. Great in a wrap with some guacamole salad and chilli sauce.

Easy recipe but I did have to add more flavor such as citrus fruit and spices. Good base to work off of.

It is pretty good. Meat is tender and juicy. A little bland but I added onion powder to the crock pot. And with lime juice and garlic chili sauce at the end made it tasty

Turned out pretty bland, but would be good with a good mix of things like a rice bowl, salad, or burrito.

More of the same...wish there was more flavor. Maybe if the spices were added the last half hour.

I loved this! Instead of just putting everything in the crockpot, I seasoned the roast first and then browned it quickly. Then, put it in with garlic and soda.

The recipe needed way more flavoring. It just ended up tasting like a bland and somewhat dry pot roast. After reading some comments, I have a good idea for how I might improve it if I make it again, though.

This was a good way to make shredded beef on a busy day. But overall I felt the flavoring was plain. I was hoping for more taste. We ended up adding extra toppings and condiments for our own personal flavors and I wanted to meat to carry on it's own. It's not gross but lacked pizazz I guess

I followed the recipe exactly and used Sierra Mist. It definitely had alot of watery juice after cooking but was very tasty. We squeezed extra lime after shredding it to keep it moist.
