I used 4 cups water, 2 cups unsweetened almond milk 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed and 1.5 cups oats. They turned out good for 6-8 people to eat. These oats are definitely hardier than rolled oats. They cooked overnight for 8 hours. Great to have breakfast waiting for us first thing in the morning. Would recommend using some sort of artificial sweetener or fruit.
After thoughts: I would reduce the amount of oats to 1 1/4 cup for creamier oats. I’m going to add 3 tsp vanilla extract and mashed bananas next time that I cook them. Definitely spray the crockpot with nonstick stray as the oats cooked to the sides badly.
