- 2 tomatoes (large, chopped small, or 3 medium)
- 1 tsp. lime juice (or lemon)
- 1 handful chopped cilantro (1/4 cup loosely packed)
- 15 oz. chickpeas (washed and drained, or 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas)
- 1 cup water (250 ml, or more)
- 3/4 tsp. salt (less or more depending on if the chickpeas were salted)
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sugar (if needed)
