I used a red onion, and doubled up in the lime juice, cumin and chili powder. I also didn’t have a jalapeño so used a half cup of jalapeño cream cheese and served warm. Hubs approves.

I’ve made this multiple times to bring to cookouts other just for family and people always ask for the recipe. This is a great black bean dip

Got new immersion blender, We used dry beans , soaked then added all Ingredients. Put in crock pot. Great warm with chips.

the onion was overpowering, i couldn't taste anything else. if i were to do it again I would omit the onion entirely or use powdered onion.
