This was so simple and easy to make I added “bunch” of sun dried tomatoes to this and it took it to another level I cut a loaf of artisan bread and stuffed it with the pesto. I wrapped it in plastic and put it in the fridge for tonight. Tomorrow I’ll insert cheese into the sections, cover with foil and bake until the cheese melts. It will pull apart nicely.

my sauce is kinda light green color and looks like not enough olive oil mybe its because i didn't use parmesan and also I use spinach instead of basil. however this recipe is great. I'll make it again soon with a proper ingredients.

I made this as a pizza topping and it tastes good. Even my daughter liked it. I am wondering how it would taste to substitute a dairy free cheese in place of the Parmesan since she has a slight allergy to dairy. I think I'll add some pepper next time. Will definitely make this again!!

Easy to make!! I altered with addition of lemon juice, just gets better as it has time to marinade

It was my first time making Basil Pesto Sauce and it turned out delicious. I only added one garlic instead of two because my husband is not a fan of garlic. My husband loved the sauce! This recipe is a keeper.

In regular nearly weekly rotation in our house. Very forgiving recipe. In place of basil, I've used spinach and kale. I also regularly sub whatever nuts I have on hand, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts. I also add an extra clove or two of garlic and sometimes add a splash of lemon juice if I have one on hand.

I plan to harvest my homegrown purple & lemon basil, and combine them in a food processor with garlic scapes to make a pasta sauce. One other modification, toast sunflower seeds in place of the more expensive pine nuts. Since I've already made two batches of pesto that I froze into cubes, I wanted to try making them into a pasta sauce.
